Hemalkasa stands as a village within the Bhamragad taluka of Maharashtra State, India, situated in the Gadchiroli district. It is home to the Madia Gond community. Hemalkasa holds significance as the location where the renowned Magsaysay Award-winning couple, Dr. Prakash Baba Amte and Dr. Mandakini Amte, oversee the Lok Biradari Prakalp project. -- Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, a pristine and distinctive ecosystem, lies in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, India. This reserve encompasses some of the finest forest tracks and boasts a wealth of biodiversity. The area is celebrated for its natural heritage, and "Tadoba" is a reference to the tribal deity Taru, revered by the local tribal population. The name "Andhari" originates from the Andhari river that flows through the park. The Reserve's core area spans 625 sq. km, encompassing the Tadoba National Park established in 1955, covering 116.55 sq. km, and the Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary established in 1986, covering 508.85 sq. km. The core region of Tadoba comprises 6 entry gates, with an additional 6 gates for the buffer zone. Both the core and buffer forest regions teem with diverse flora and fauna, providing a haven for a significant population of majestic Tigers.

TRIP SCHEDULE

Thursday:

  • 17:35 Board the train (12135) from Pune Station.

Friday:

  • 09:10 Arrive at Nagpur Station.
  • Enjoy breakfast.
  • Proceed to catch the Tempo Traveler.
  • 13:00 Arrive at the Hotel in Tadoba National Park.
  • Freshen up and have lunch.
  • 13:45 Reach the Safari Gate.
  • 14:00 Begin the Safari.
  • 18:00 End of Safari.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Dinner and rest for the night.

Saturday:

  • 05:30 Wake up early.
  • Freshen up and have tea.
  • 06:15 Reach the Safari Gate.
  • 06:30 - 10:30 Morning Safari.
  • Enjoy breakfast.
  • 11:30 Check-out from the hotel.
  • 12:00 Depart for Hemalkasa.
  • 18:00 Arrive at Hemalkasa.
  • Settle in (Separate accommodations for Males and Females).
  • 20:00 Dinner.
  • 21:30 Good night's sleep.

Sunday:

  • Wake up.
  • Freshen up.
  • Enjoy breakfast.
  • Campus tour, meet Dr. Prakash Baba Amte and Dr. Mandakini Amte(if they are available on campus)
  • Lunch.
  • 12:30 Depart for Chandrapur.
  • 17:30 Reach Chandrapur Station.
  • 17:45 Board the train to Pune.

Monday:

  • 10:50 Arrive at Pune Station.


COST

Pune to Pune:

  •  Rs. 11,000/- per person for 8-10 people sharing a dorm(Air Cooled)
  • Rs. 11,500/- per person for 2-3 people sharing a room(AC)

Nagpur to Nagpur:

  • Rs. 9,000/- per person for 8-10 people sharing a dorm(Air Cooled)
  • Rs. 9,500/- per person for 2-3 people sharing a room(AC)

Children aged 5 years and below are charged a flat fee of 3000/-.
Children aged between 5 and 8 are charged a flat fee of 6000/-.
For children aged between 8 and 12, the cost is the same as the adult cost, with a discount of 1000/- if a separate berth is not required on the train.

  • Train Tickets: 3AC Pune-Nagpur and 3AC Return (Chandrapur-Pune)
  • Transportation: AC 17/26 Seater Tempo Traveler from Nagpur/Wardha to Tadoba to Hemalkasa and return to Chandrapur
  • 2 Safaris: Friday Afternoon and Saturday Morning (Buffer)
  • Friday Night Stay: Dormitory accommodation with 12-13 sharing in Air Cooled rooms; 2/3 sharing AC rooms available at an additional cost
  • Saturday Night Stay at Hemalkasa: Separate dormitories provided for males and females
  • Meals:

Determine the Amount with the Following Guidelines:

  • For Individual Participant Registration: Amount = Trip Fees
  • For Group Registration: Amount = Trip Fees multiplied by the Number of participant

Payment Steps:

  • To complete the payment, you can either scan the provided QR code or use the provided UPI ID (click the "Book Now" button).
  • If you're using a mobile device, download the QR code image and then utilize your UPI app to scan the QR code from your device's gallery.
  • Keep track of the UPI reference number or the last 4 digits of the transaction ID for your records.

Registration Form:

  • Upon receiving a successful payment notification, your registration is confirmed.
  • No separate notification will be sent.

WhatsApp Group:

  • The registration form will request your WhatsApp number, which will be utilized to establish an event group on WhatsApp.
  • All further trip-related information will be shared within this group.
  • This WhatsApp group will be created 30 days prior to the commencement of the trip.

Trip Fees Refund Policy:

  • If replacement given more than 60 days before the trip start: 90% of the amount will be refunded.
  • For cancellations made between 60 to 2 days before the event start: 10% of the amount will be refunded.
  • Cancellations within 2 days of the event start or no-show: No refund will be provided.
